Syracuse University

This is a watercolor sketch of Crouse College, the main building for the music students at Syracuse University in Syracuse, New York. I studied illustration at SU. Not in this building, but another, considerably more boring looking building without air conditioning. Some of the visiting lecturers during my stay were CF Payne, Anita Kunz, Gary Kelley, and Bunny Carter. A super program at the time.

Hey J.h., thnks for stopping by! I don't remember exactly how long, but I know it didn't take long. It may have taken an hour or two for the drawing and a few more for the watercolor. These drawings go pretty quickly. I'm putting it down pretty directly as I see it, no erasing or fussing.

Thanks Leanna! Our next trip is to Washington, DC. So you bet I'll have my sketchbook in hand!

whoa, I really like this. whenever I see people drawing and painting stuff like this i always think, "wow, they're an artist"...almost forgetting that I draw too...just not like this. I love the details in the building and the colors on this piece.
