D.I. Day

We spent the day at an event called Destination Imagination. It's the olympics for the mind for kids K-12. All three of our kids participated in instant challenges (improv, on the spot problem solving) and a central challenge, where teams get a problem to solve and work on it for the season. Our fourth grader's team won first place in the regional competition. Now we get to go to the state championships. If they win again, they go to the global competition.

My wife was a coach. I was a volunteer at the registration table for a few hours, and spent the rest of the day watching our daughter's events and various interesting looking people....
